Emcee Singapore: Charmaine Yee recently had the honor of hosting a special celebration marking 50 years of bilateral friendship between Singapore and Argentina, graced by Minister Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan.
The influence of Argentina is evident in our restaurant scene and local supermarkets, adding a delightful touch of Argentine flavours to our everyday lives.
It was a special treat to hear Dr. Balakrishnan share heartwarming anecdotes about international friendships fostered through shared experiences during his official visit.
One of the highlights of this celebration was seeing the magnificent “Bellows” sculpture on Orchard Road. It was particularly special to witness a Singaporean playing the bandoneon, filling the air with enchanting melodies. The presence of tango dance champions added to the excitement and elegance of the festivities.
